The Cabin was built in 1968 but has been extensively modernised in the last few years. Its very comfortable in both summer and winter with central heating and two log burners. The Cabin is a tranquil place set in woods but within easy distance of Kirkmichael Village. The light is fabulous, the garden beautiful with different plants and animals easy to spot. 25 mins drive from ski slope. The cabin can sleep 10 with kids but 8 is a comfortable number of adults. Covid cleaning protocols in place.

The Space

The Cabin is a really relaxing spot for friends and families alike, to get away from it all yet its not difficult to get to and there are amenities close by.

We’re afraid we can not accept groups of more than 10 people staying in The Cabin because we want to keep it clean, well maintained and enjoyable for future guests.

The living area is big, light and has the conservatory off it which we have newly refurbished with a stove and comfortable seating. You therefore have two living rooms in the cabin. There is access to the surrounding terraces from the living room and the conservatory.

The table sits 10 comfortably and there is plenty of space in the kitchen to prepare and store food. There is a fridge and freezer in the kitchen and a electric cool box in the hall where you can chill drinks therefore not using the fridge space up.

There is a lot of outside terraced / decked space to sit and enjoy the views and take in some sun.

The lawn below the cabin is great for football or team games. We have games available for guests to play in the shed by the cabin.

The bedrooms are a good size and quite flexible. There is a sink in 4 bedrooms, a shower in the 5th bedroom, a family bathroom, an en-suite shower room in the master bedroom and a separate toilet off the hall opposite the 5th bedroom.

There is also a utility room with a washer dryer and space to dry clothes.

The hall is large and has space to hang jackets and store shoes and boots.

Guest Access

Guests have access to the whole house and there is plenty of space to eat and relax. There is a lot of parking on the driveway of The Cabin.

We have signed up to the Covid cleaning regulations and have the appropriate training in place. Unfortunately this means our change overs take longer and we therefore ask you to arrive at 6pm rather than 4pm. We will change this back as soon as we are able. And we thank you for your understanding.
